I was introduced to KickitUpFitness back in 2013 by two friends who told me that there was a women’s trainer who was inspiring, knowledgeable and would make me work.
If I only knew then what I know now. Starting the bootcamp would give me so much more than just a workout class. It has led me to be consistent and dedicated to my health. I attended evening classes but as my family grew, Jody began offering online classes that made it easier for me to attend. Jody’s approach to health is what has led me down my own health journey. She has shared her workouts and coached me with nutrition. As I mentioned earlier, I have gained so much more than attending a workout class, I have gained a whole community of women who inspire each other and build each other up. And I have developed so many friendships!
Jody has taught me the importance of training effectively and efficiently. She is always working along aside you and pushes you to be your best. She is always there for you when you need to reset and refocus.

I have been taking Jody's classes for just over a year now. The classes are motivation and i like how the workouts are always different. i love durning the workouts how Jody will encourage you to challenge yourself but also hive the low impact options. Ys the workouts are great, but one thing that makes Jody stand out as a great fitness trainer is that she ivery personalble and truly cares about her clients. I highly recommend Jody's classes. R. I have been working with Jody O’Brien on and off for over 10 years now. I have seen her business transition from full in person to full online seamlessly. Throughout this time she has flawlessfully delivered challenging and fun workouts that always keep you guessing what’s next and though I haven’t always been consistent I do feel stronger both mentally and physically by just even doing just one workout. I use to weight 245 Ibs and now I weight a healthy 114Ibs. It was not easy, but finding Jody's class has kept me in check and introduced me to a group of amazing ladies who I admire and inspire me on a weekly basis. OKAY so I don't know if you know this or not, but over the course of my time working out with you ( and eating better) I have actually lost close to 50 pounds :)!!!!!! I used to be super tiny in high school, and gained and gained some more while in college. I ended up being 185 I figure...maybe even heavier there was a point where I wouldn't dare stand on a scale! Anyways, as you know I really wanted to lose weight and feel confident in my wedding dress. I WORKED HARD and it was because of YOU!! I found that by working out with you, it really helped me to gain my confidence that I could do something that would finally trigger me to snap out of my weight gain, and to do something about it. Jody, you're such a positive role model for people to have, I found even though I would find your workouts super tough, you always had such an amazing attitude and a positive message for people during the tough times. I began to really enjoy going, and just loved the feeling (AND RESULTS) after each workout! SO here's where the story starts! It was my wedding day, and I put my dress on and I felt soooooo amazing! I remember thinking how overwhelmed I was to fit in a fitted dress like that and not feel self-conscious at all! I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the moment of my wedding day, and that I would be stressed that I had suck in because everyone would be watching me. BUT I didn't even think twice about it on my wedding day. I was soooo comfortable, and never once thought ohhh god how do I look. But I was able to feel like that because I FELT good!! Anyways, our photographer was just with Gary and I and we were walking on a dirt road. The photographer yelled "Pick her up Gary!" My immediate (internal) reaction was what are you nuts buddy?! But before I was even able to say anything, Gary swung me off of feet and started carrying me! I remember thinking "HAHAHA YES it's not so impossible after all! In fact I was loving it!! Haha. I remember feeling so happy in that moment, with myself, and that it was my wedding day and that my man could just sweep me off of my feet! When Gary put me down I totally thought of you, and I thought that picture is for Jodi!! lol. YOU were the person who helped me achieve that happiness and that sense of peace finally! SO the funniest part is that I got 3,000 pictures back (ridiculous right?) and my favourite picture is of that moment! I was so excited and happy when I saw the picture that I started to cry! So I immediately sent it to you but it didn't go through! So here I am almost a year later sending you my fifth one of the same story because I really want you to know that you're making a difference in people's lives, and that you made one in mine! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me to see a better me!!! I've attached the picture for you to see! I swear we look so happy even though you can't see our faces! haha.
I've come back again to tone up, and to get the awesome bod again for summer...because I've been a little slack in the winter months! But I'm happy at where I am now, I'm eating healthier, and I feel so good! So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
PS I wasn't there tonight because I had to do a presentation at work! I actually had plans to make your 7:30 class, but the parents stayed longer than I expected! I swear I didn't skip out...even though it was a bit of a relief because my body is still screaming from your Monday workout class! Haha!! See you Monday Jody!
